Depression
Jasmine Colucci is no stranger to the pain and suffering of the dogs she rescues. As a bullied teenager, depression dominated her life; there was no escaping the daily panic attacks stemming from social anxiety. Her doctor suggested she volunteer with an organization that helps the less fortunate and she begrudgingly decided to foster a neglected dog. That one act would become the beginning of Jasmine’s mission to rescue the abandoned dogs of Manitoba’s northern reserves.
When a young boy begins to struggle with anxiety, depression and mood disorder, his mother goes on a desperate quest to help her middle son cope with life. The family’s world unravels as they are faced with increasingly difficult choices. But with a strong family bond, patience, strength and courage, the resilience of the human spirit prevails.
